Sri Lanka (6Days & 5Nights)

DAY 01: Arrival, meet, greet and proceed to Kandy.
DAY 02: Breakfast at hotel and proceed to Peradeniya botanical garden.
This beautiful garden is located 4 miles off Kandy. It was first built as a pleasure garden by a Sinhala king and was expanded by the British. It covers approximately 147 acres and is a walker’s paradise with extensive well-kept lawns, pavilions, an octagon conservatory, fernery, a giant Javan fig tree and numerous flower beds. The best attraction is the orchid house.
Next proceed to Kandy city.
Evening proceeds to Kandy city & do a city tour in Kandy was the last capital of the Sri Lankan kings and is a World Heritage Site. The name 'Kandy' conjures visions of splendour and magnificence. Many of the legends, traditions and folklore are still lovingly kept alive. Drive around the Kandy Lake built by the last Sinhala king, Sri Wickrama Rajasinghe in 1798. Visit the Kandy town, the bazaar, an arts & crafts center and a gem museum / lapidary.

DAY 03: Breakfast at hotel and proceed to down south via Pinnawala.
Visit Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage provides visitors with the best chance of seeing a large number of elephants at close quarters. The orphanage was established in 1975 and commenced with seven orphaned elephants. Today some of these orphans enjoy the fortune of seeing their calfs born in the same location. Assisted by local and foreign elephant experts, Pinnawala commenced a successful captive breeding program and the first baby elephant was born in 1984. It is most interesting to visit at feeding time to see the baby elephants being bottle fed and the entire herd taken for a bath thereafter to the river nearby.

DAY 04: After breakfast proceed to Madu River in Balapitiya
The Madu river is a shallow water body in southwest Sri Lanka, which enters the sea at Balapitiya. During the river safari, visit uninhabited islands and a cinnamon plantation where you could get an insight into typical rural life.
Here in Balapitiya lies Madu Ganga, the beautiful river that nestles alongside Water Front Villa. Madu Ganga is considered as Sri Lanka's second largest wetland consisting of 23 islands including two main islands providing shelter to 215 families. The Madu Ganga river is a shallow water body in south-west Sri Lanka, which enters the sea at Balapitiya. This beautiful river that nestles alongside Water Front Villa, is considered as Sri Lanka's second largest wetland consisting of 32 islands including two main islands providing shelter to 215 families. Together with the smaller Randombe Lake, to which it is connected by two narrow channels, it forms the Madu Ganga wetland. Its estuary and the many mangrove islets on it constitute a complex coastal wetland ecosystem. In has high ecological, biological and aesthetic significance, being home to 303 species of plants belonging to 95 families and to 248 species of vertebrate animals. Madu Ganga is possibly one of the last remaining tracts of pristine mangrove forests in Sri Lanka.The inhabitants of its islets produce peeled cinnamon and cinnamon oil.
Next proceed to Kosgoda





Kosgoda is famous for its turtle hatchery operated by the Wildlife Protection Society of Sri Lanka. Several species of turtles, especially the endangered hawksbill are protected here. Most vulnerable of all are their eggs which are left uncovered on beaches all around the coast. These eggs are brought to the hatcheries by the fishermen. Visitors are shown the huge tanks filled with new born but lively hatchlings. After being fed, the hatchlings are taken to the sea and released when they are a few days old.

DAY 05: After breakfast at hotel and proceed to Colombo
Do a city tour in Colombo like many capital cities in developing countries is fast changing its face. Almost overnight, skyscrapers arise from where old buildings once stood. Yet in some parts, the old-world charm is retained. For example, there is a 100-year-old clock tower and several British built colonial buildings. Other places of interest are the Pettah bazaar - where one can shop for bargain, a Hindu and a Buddhist temple, residential areas - where you find stately homes of the affluent and the Bandaranaike Memorial International Conference Hall (BMICH)- an outright gift to Sri Lanka from the People's Republic of China.
DAY 06: After breakfast proceed to Airport for the departure flight.
