Jordan - Land Of Cyclers
Day 1: Arrival to Queen Alia Int’l Airport, you’ll be met by our representative who will assist with all airport formalities, after collecting your luggage you'll be directed to your driver who will drive you to your hotel for check in , Free time and overnight.
Day 2: Breakfast at the hotel & check out; Today you’re heading north to the ancient Roman City of Jerash, It’s a massive site with an incredible number of ruins , after visiting the site we’ll be heading to Salhoub area to start the cycling trail, the trail is intermediate - Dist.17.5 KM- going through Tal Al Rumman forest Off-Road suitable for nature admirers and mountain forest bikers, the trail finishes at Salhoub area [police club], afterwards you’ll be transferred to Jordan Ranger’s Camp in Jerash for Dinner & Overnight .
Day 3: Breakfast at the camp and check out, Today you’ll be visiting the city of Mosaic Madaba, The chief attraction is a wonderfully vivid & well preserved, sixth century Byzantine mosaic map showing Egypt, Jerusalem and the Holy Land; your next stop will be Mt. Nebo also known as Jabal Musa, the memorial of Moses and the presumed site of the prophet's death and burial place, After visiting Mt. Nebo your cycling tour begins! Passing through Ouin Al theeb area along with Madaba villages with stunning views of the Jordan Valley & the lowest point on Earth the Dead Sea , its an On-Road intermediate route – Dist. 54 KM-finishing at the Dead Sea hotels area where you’ll check in at one of the wonderful resort to relax , swim and dip yourself into the saline healing water and enjoy the night.
Day 4: Breakfast at the resort and check out; your direction Today is South, to Shobak castle previously known as Montreal an early 12th-century Crusader castle in barren surroundings. It is perched on the side of a rocky, conical mountain, after visiting the castle your cycling tour will start right at the front gate, passing through Jhaier area with its remarkable panoramic views through oak trees & exceptional desert views of Wadi Araba reaching at the end to Little Petra, it’s a wonderful intermediate On & Off-Road route –Dist.45.7 KM- , your night will be spent in Petra however you have many optional things to do; a Turkish Bath , Petra by night show or even a local cuisine cooking class to name a few :) .
Day 5: After an Early Breakfast at the hotel check out and start wandering the ancient Nabatean city of Petra one of the 7 wonders of the world ; you’ll start by passing through the Siq up to the treasury locally known as Al Khazneh, then you can continue walking to Qaser Al Bint and the theater, for those with strong hearts an 800+ steps climb to the monastery will be an adrenaline rush but the view is certainly worth it. Late afternoon you’ll be picked –up from the visitor center to be transferred to Wadi Rum fascinating desert, having dinner & spending the night at a Bedouin camp is an exceptional not to be missed experience.
Day 6: By early morning you’ll have breakfast at the camp, then a Jeep tour of Wadi Rum for 2 hours of joy will begin, dropping you at Wadi Rum village to start your cycling tour, the route is intermediate -58.1 KM – On & Off Road mix , passing the desert scenes to Disi area including a Bedouin life experience and Tea! some flat mud area’s are also to be crossed, Wadi Rum is probably best known because of its connection with the enigmatic British officer T.E. Lawrence, who was based here during the Great Arab Revolt of 1917-18. Much of David Lean’s Lawrence of Arabia was filmed in Wadi Rum.
Late Afternoon you’ll be returning to the capital Amman for overnight.
Day 7: Breakfast at the hotel, then according to your flight departure time you’ll be transferred to the Airport.
