Flavors of Jordan A 7-Day Gourmet Journey
Day 1 : Arrival to Queen Alia Int’l Airport, you’ll be met by our representative who will assist with all airport formalities, after collecting your luggage you'll be directed to your driver who will drive you to your hotel for check in , Free time , Dinner at the hotel and overnight.
Day 2 : Yes! your Breakfast is not at the hotel , your Breakfast will be Local pastries called “Mana’esh” with local olive oil some are prepared with local white goat cheese, Za’tar [local thyme] or Eggs with a cup of black Tea with sage or if you prefer mint, you’ll have a day in Amman , the city tour includes the Roman Amphitheater & Folklore museum , the Citadel and its historical museum, for Lunch we’ll take you to Beit Sitti Restaurant [ means Grandma’s House]; were you’ll learn a local recipe and even cook it, after lunch you’ll be back to the old part of Amman for downtown delights and trying the famous Hashem Restaurant that serves Falafel , return to your hotel for overnight .
Day 3 : Breakfast at the hotel, Today we’ll be heading north to visit the ancient Roman city of Jerash, Afterwards we’ll drive to visit Ajloun Castle, Lunch will be at the near by Rasun reserve were local community ladies will prepare lunch while exploring the Biscuits house & Soap House [ locally made], a wonderful presentation will be made about the ingredients, vegetables & herbs which are mainly planted at the reserve. For dinner we’ll take you to a traditional Shawerma Restaurant , Back to Amman for overnight.
Day 4: Breakfast at the hotel and check out; our direction Today is South, our first stop will be at Mt. Nebo [ Jabal Musa or Moses mount], then to Madaba City [ known as the Mosaic City ] you’ll be visiting St. George church and its fascinating Mosaic map , a short stop at La Storia Museum that has many historical displays narrating the lifestyle of old times. Lunch will be served in a Cave ! Mrah Salameh is a fine dining restaurant set up literally in a cave, traditional food and BBQ dishes are offered with joy, after Lunch , a wine tasting activity will be taking place at a local Winery which includes a presentation about their farms and production. Reaching to Petra by evening check in at your hotel , Dinner will be at Cook n” Dine Restaurant. Then back to hotel for overnight.
Day 5: Today we start as Early as possible so you can explore as much you desire in the red rose city of Petra, one of the 7 wonders of the world. Lunch will be among the mountains at the Basin Restaurant where they Mainly serve Mansaf [the Jordanian traditional dish – prepared from Jameed (dried yoghurt) and rice with lamb meat]. By evening you’ll be transferred to the vast desert of Wadi Rum, where you’ll be accommodated at a Bedouin camp and have dinner in Bedouin Style [ Zarb i.e. its lamb or chicken cooked buried in hot sand].
Day 6: By early morning you’ll have breakfast at the camp, then a 2 hrs. Jeep tour of Wadi Rum will begin, before noon you’ll be transferred to Aqaba for a Glass Boat tour with lunch on board, by evening on the way back to Amman you’ll stop at Qantara Restaurant for Dinner before checking in at the hotel for overnight.
Day 7: Breakfast at the hotel, then according to your flight departure time you’ll be transferred to the Airport.
